NEWS NEWS NEWS

1. The Boomerang Kid is finished. Not in the sense that he himself is over with, but the recording, mixing and mastering. All went well, all went smooth. Things sound nice. We are happy.
2. Billy Mack Collector came and recorded the "Billy Mack Collector Punk Rock Album" titled as "Bulb" (I believe). Tracking is over. It was a good, quick process. Everything went well. But, perhaps the last Kat Cellar recording to be done as we know it. Things are to change...
3...BIG F-WORDING NEWS FOLKS! The Kat Cellar will soon be moving to a new home! The fine gentlemen and not so men at The Sixth Ave. Gallery have agreed that it might be a fine idea of having a studio in their facility. It was a quick, swift decision, finalised with a crowbar blow to a wall. After a brief meeting at a security meeting, we (Jason Hepola and I) decided to talk at a later date. Thus came a meeting during my lunch break from my "day job". After work, not much was to be said, and then came the crowbar. Now, they have a wonderful team starring Brandon Hepola as rad dude in chief of structural design according to my specifications. All is going well, and we hope to be in by the 15th. More news to come.

The Boomerang Kid Boomerangs around

Alright, I am in the middle of the second mix of The Boomerang Kid's new record. Because Mr. Kid is a lovely lad, he took the first mix, made some good notes (photo's later) and described the direction and feeling of the mix he was wanting. Two songs in, and it's feeling good. I love doing the second mix because I've already found some semblance of foundation, and now with the artist's input, can tailor the recording to their needs and desires. Neat, huh? Well, the fostex is running. Gotta go. Have a dandy day.

Today is that Day

Well, most of the tracking (piano is missing) is done for the Boomerang Kid. Some sounds to follow at one day or soon or another.
Soon to move on to cleaning up old projects, and finishing not so old ones.

Every Day Hiss Like Sunday

News:
-There is no Kat Cellar website anymore. I thought about looking into why Geocities shut down, but never mind. Nothing in this world is free, and neither is it in the internet. Well, what a surprise. Keep your eyes pealed apart for a real website. One without any slashes or dots (save the dot com). I did some research on the availability for "Kat Celler" and saw that there were quite a few versions available, including "Katcellar.tv".
-Over the summer, we have gone through a heavy renovation, thanks to Mr. Balasti. He had the motivation. I give him credit for that. Much was done. Pictures will be included at the bottom of this post.
-Live recordings of Will Brown and DAD (Formerly Air Ick, currently Hub City Funn) were done this summer/fall. There are a few up on the Hub City Funn myspace.
-Coming soon will be The Boomerang Kid who is a loyal compatriot of the Mystic Knights of The Kat Cellar. Sessions begin the 28th of January.
-New pricing will be established in due time. Beware of increase.
Well, until next time, dear children young and old. All other news is fit to print elsewhere.

Way to go...

Alright. Update. I'll keep it brief.Geocities does not exist anymore. I was informed today. Therefor, the is nothing left of the Kat Cellar website. Which means, I might have to just step up and make a real website. It's about time, huh?
The Kat Cellar has been renovated. It looks lovely. It feels comfy. It sounds like a dream. Much revamping and rediscovering is still to come. Much with photos and sounds and things. Until then, I hope this tides you over. Oh look! A photograph.
